Our Mission
We are committed to equipping and empowering pastors and leaders in Burundi and beyond through client-based coaching. By fostering clarity, hope, and confidence, we help leaders fulfill their God-given vision and create lasting transformation in their churches and communities.
Our Journey
Since 2018, I have partnered with pastors in Burundi, helping them implement the nationwide vision for healthy churches. With five trips to Burundi, I have built strong, trusted relationships that serve as the foundation for meaningful coaching and leadership development.
In 2019, I pursued professional client-based coach training and began using these skills to serve pastors at no cost. Since then, I have earned an Associate Coaching Certification, as well as my Professional Coaching Certificate from the International Coach Federation (ICF) and have completed over 1100 hours of coaching.
I also train leaders in the COACH model of client-based coaching, introducing a powerful, transformative approach that is entirely new to many international pastors. For the first time, these leaders are experiencing what it means to be truly listened to, supported, and encouraged—bringing clarity, confidence, and renewed strength to their ministries.

Our Partnership with Vinia (aka Missionary Church Western Region)
By partnering with Vinia, we are part of a larger, global vision that extends beyond Coaching International. This partnership provides:
✔ Oversight & Accountability – Through reports, financial oversight, and administrative support, ensuring transparency and integrity.
✔ Administrative Services – Including payroll, taxes, and giving statements.
✔ Support for Other Leaders – Expanding coaching and leadership development to other Missionary Church associated international pastors and leaders.
We are honored to be part of this movement and excited for what God is doing through coaching, leadership development, and partnership.

With experience across ministry, leadership, and personal development, our coaches provide a safe space for growth, helping you navigate challenges, set clear goals, and take meaningful action. About Mike Somers

Hi there! I’m Mike Somers, and I live in Camarillo, California, with my wife, Jane. We were married in 2016, and we have five boys and 11 grandkids between us—yes, there’s a story there if you do the math!
My career path includes 30 years at Trader Joe’s, 16 years as Crossroads Church’s Executive Pastor, and since 2018, the Director of Services and Director of Coaching for Vinia (aka Missionary Church Western Region). I oversee coaching initiatives that empower pastors and leaders. In 2022 I founded Coaching International and expanded the ministry in 2024 as God challenged me to “get into the deep in of the pool”.
My calling is simple: I help others make vision happen.
Fun Fact: I started playing the cello about in 2016 years—because learning never stops!
